Drugs Caused Death Of Man In Tuscaloosa Police Custody

It was a volatile situation on July 10th when Tuscaloosa police arrested Anthony Ware after a foot chase through the woods in Alberta and. Many were calling it 'police brutality' but they didn't know the whole story. Now we do.

It was believed that after being pepper sprayed he collapsed while being arrested and died. There were those that wanted to protest and lead marches to support what they thought was another death of a black man at the hands of police.

With the autopsy findings according to AL.com stating,

the autopsy on Ware showed a number of minor and superficial injuries to his upper extremities and a small superficial bruise to this back. Those injuries, Head said, were likely the result of Ware running through rough patches of terrain or bushes and not relevant to his death.

 

Police Video of Incident here. The contributing factors of cocaine, meth and alcohol caused his death. Police have said the autopsy report will not be released in its entirety until after an independent and formal grand jury investigation.  Full Story
