Endless Love Belongs on a Disney Movie

Just a few minutes ago, WTUG played "Endless Love." Off the air, I confessed to Monique that I hate the song. I played it because it was requested by a listener.  Don't get me wrong, I believe in love. I just hate the song. Here's why.

As a parent, everything I do away from work is kid oriented. I have to watch Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, kids YouTube videos, etc.  I don't just sit and pay attention to all of it;  but usually, my daughter wants to show me something that she's excited about or she just wants me in the room she's in. I know days like this are short-lived. So, I oblige.

Anyway, every time I hear "Endless Love," it makes me think of a Disney movie. It seems like something that should be playing when the main characters fall in love. When I said this to Monique, she burst out laughing!

In an effort of proving my point, I told her that they had to have used the song in at least one Disney movie. So, I did a search for "Endless Love in a Disney movie." Much to my surprise, there are numerous people who thought the same thing!

The difference between the people who created these videos and me is they all think the videos are beautiful. *side eye*

I will say this, though: Singing about and endless love is a welcome change from the raunchy songs of today or songs about a love that doesn't last. So, I guess I'll deal with it.

I still don't like it, though.
