Eve to Star in New Romantic Comedy on ABC
Eve is returning to the small screen. The rapper-turned-actress is set to star in a new, interracial romantic comedy for ABC.
Deadline reports that Eve’s show, which is still looking for a writer, is being eyed for premiere in 2014 – 2015. This isn’t Eve’s first foray into TV. From 2003 – 2006, the former Ruff Ryders vixen starred in her own show, ‘Eve,’ on the UPN network. She’s recently had guest starring roles on ‘Whitney,’ ‘Glee’ and ‘Single Ladies’ and notably was featured in the movie ‘Barbershop’ in 2002.
Things are bright on the personal front for the ’35-year-old Philadelphia native as well. She recently got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, billionaire tycoon Maximillion Cooper. “Going in to 2014 feeling #blessed #happy #loved and #ready for the next steps of #life with my #love,” she shared as the caption for a photo of herself and her man on Instagram.
