This morning, I was made aware of free exercise classes being offered at the McDonald Hughes Center. Instructor Lateasha Witherspoon is teaching Boxmania (boxing moves combined with dancing) on Mondays, Zumba on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Ab/Blast on Wednesdays. Each of these classes begin at 6pm and run for an hour, except Wednesday classes. Those begin at 5pm to allot time for Wednesday evening church services. In addition, Zumba classes for senior citizens, dubbed Forever Young, are on Thursdays at 9am.

Participants don't even need to have PARA memberships. Ms. Witherspoon says her goal is to inspire fitness for everyone, including those for whom a gym membership might be an unbearable expense. And classes seem to hold individuals accountable because attendees encourage each other.

With accommodating hours and no cost, the McDonald Hughes center is about to have some FINE women walking around Tuscaloosa. Fellas, I hope you're prayed up.
