Experience The ABCs of Cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

For the past many years our radio station has been a huge support of the miracle work that goes on at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

If you have not had the opportunity to visit the hospital, let me tell you from my personal experience, St. Jude is an amazing place. Since 1962 and through many renovations, they’ve literally thought of everything. From counter spaces just high enough for a child to see and talk with the nurses and crew to murals on each and every wall depicting jungle, space and underwater scenes.

One particular wall interests me the most each time I have visited and that is the 'ABCs of Cancer' wall. This is where the alphabet has been transformed into mini stories about cancer, authored by the kids themselves. The wall reflects each child’s feelings and experiences while being patients at St. Jude.
