First let me start off by saying I am officially floored to the fact there is even a week set aside for the appreciation of the Gabage man. I remember growning up watching them after I set the three garbage can's we had on the curb.

The Dudes rode on the back of the truck, looking like they were barely hanging on, and they would jump down, swoop up your can's dump them and thrown them to the curb and keep riding... man that was so long ago.

Spring forward to 2016 and everything is automatic, It's one guy driving and a mechanical arm grabbing the can flipping it in the truck and gently setting it back on the curb, carefully not to spill any trash.

But you got to appreciate what they do.

1. With out these dudes that streets would over flow with Garbage, and that would be very smelly

2. During storm related events, they swoop through and keep the city clean of rubbish

3. They stick to their schedule unlike Cable or the repair man who says, " I'll be there between the hours of 12noon and 6pm.

4. You can put pretty much anything in a Garbage Can and they'll take it, even if it's paints or chemicals

6. Last, If you happened to know one personally, he can help you clear your lot of debris at a discount
