Frank Ocean Wants to Press Charges Against Chris Brown for Brawl
According to Reuters, the L.A. County Sheriff spokesperson said Ocean “is desirous of prosecution in this incident.” But at this point, no one knows who really started the fight.
Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos has come forward and told TMZ that his client didn’t start the fight with Ocean. In fact, he says Brown is eager to talk to investigators about the incident. Geragos also contends that there was surveillance footage, which shows that Brown didn’t throw any punches during the alleged brawl.
Meanwhile, Brown posted a photo on Instagram that could be a subliminal response to the brouhaha surrounding the incident. It appears to be a drawing of three renderings of Jesus on the cross. “Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!” he wrote above the artwork. So we can only guess that Brown feels like he’s being crucified by the media over his fight with Ocean.
Brown is still under probation stemming from his 2009 altercation with his then-girlfriend Rihanna. So, if Ocean does decide to press charges this could send him to the slammer.
Some are now wondering how this will effect Ocean and Brown’s presence at this year’s Grammy Awards since both are nominees. Ocean may have let the cat out of the bag with his tweet that he “can’t play with two hands at the Grammys.” Producers of the awards ceremony have yet to announce that Ocean is a performer. So will this fight jeopardize the ‘Thinkin Bout You’ singer’s chances of performing at the event?
“No,” according to a CBS source working closely with the Recording Academy. The Ocean-Brown incident has not affected any of the show’s scheduled performances, including a rumored Rihanna-Brown duet. At this point, we think the show’s producers are having a wait-and-see attitude with both Ocean and Brown.
