Friends and Family At bedside Of Aretha Franklin For Their Final Goodbyes

Various news outlets are reporting that Aretha Franklin is gravely ill from from Cancer. Two weeks ago, her health started declining and friends and family were told to start saying their last good byes.

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, born in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 25, 1942, is 76, she has been in poor health over the last few years from the disease.

She had announced plans to retire earlier in 2017, saying she would perform at "some select things While fighting the disease, she didn't let it stop her, she was still performing, but only on a limited basis. The most recent performance was last November at an Elton John AIDS Foundation event.

Jennifer Hudson will be Franklin in a biopic, which is scheduled to begin filming in 2019.
