After work yesterday, I stopped and ate lunch at Subway because I'd made an appointment to get a massage at Chancee's and didn't want to go home and come back out. It sounds like a simple day, but it was nothing short of magical.

For starters, I ate my lunch in peace and got some work done.  I was able to work on radio stuff as well as make personal motivational notes. I'm a little old school when it comes to some things.  Sometimes, I'd rather write initially and go back and type later... Especially since I was gifted that beautiful pen by the Pretty Brown Girls Club #88.  I have to be careful, though. I've had quite a number of "warnings" that it could come up missing.

After lunch, I headed to my appointment.  When I first arrived, I was quite intrigued by how quaint the establishment appeared.  It wasn't glitzy and didn't look too fancy for comfort.  In fact, it looked like the type of place you'd want to step inside, immediately take off your shoes, and walk around in your socks or slippers.

Chancee greeted me in the reception area, which smelled VERY good, by the way. The first thing she told me was the location of the restroom.  I thought that was kinda weird, but I didn't say anything.  I mean, really, what did that mean?  Did I look constipated or was I dancing like I had to go?  I didn't think I was. But she said it so sweetly, it made me WANT to go to the bathroom just so she wasn't disappointed that I didn't go. I figured they must have recently completed an overhaul and wanted to show it off or something.  Never the less, I thanked her for telling me the location and sat down to fill out my informational form.

Now, you already know I didn't just fill out the form.  I inserted a good bit of my personality.  I did this because even though massage therapists are trained individuals, I'm sure they endure a little awkwardness from time to time too.  So, while I knew they wanted me to be comfortable, I wanted them to be comfortable with me, too. While I was filling out my form, another young lady walked in.  She apparently had an appointment, too.  And just like me, the first thing she was asked was whether or not she had to use the restroom.  (Ok, now this is really starting to make me curious. Again, I didn't say anything.)

Turns out, Chancee herself was the one to do my massage, and let me tell you.... I STRUCK GOLD!

I went ahead and used the restroom before heading to the back, and boy am I glad I did! Soooo..... I discovered the reason why the bathroom was offered so quickly.  I'll tell you about that in a minute.

When I came out of the restroom, I was instructed to a room down the hall where I would be serviced.  As I entered the room, the aroma and the ambiance were just divine.  I felt like laying down and going to sleep right then.  I was told how much to undress and how to position myself for my massage.

When I tell you that Chancee massaged me into heaven..... So, for starters, the room itself smelled good, but then the "hole" where I was to place my face smelled soooooooo doggone GOOD! The music was also extremely relaxing. It was "soft" versions of songs you know and love. During my massage, I felt myself loosen to the point that I caught myself dozing off a few times.

THIS is when it became clear why they ask if you have to use the bathroom. Not only would you want to keep from interrupting your session with a bathroom break, but if you have ANY amount of gas in your body, as you begin to relax, a poot just MAY slip out!  Save yourself the embarrassment and save the tech the misery of smelling it.  Go ahead and use the bathroom before your massage, even if you feel like you don't have to go. I'm soooooo glad I did.  I could never face that woman again if I had pooted on her!

I DEFINITELY have to face her again, too!  Her rates are totally affordable (and that REALLY means a lot coming from me), and I felt like a new person at the end of my massage, which was only 30 minutes.  If I had gotten the one-hour, I may have gone to sleep for real!

Before I left, I went ahead and set an appointment for my next visit. I'm thinking about working it into my monthly budget. Do yourself a favor and check out Chancee's TODAY! I promise you won't be disappointed.
