On March 17, 2016 a fire raged inside Knoll Circle Apartments where five children were trapped inside. Justen Little ran in and saved their lives while changing his.

Last week, the city of Northport declared June 20 'Justen Little Day' and Northport Police Lt. Keith Carpenter thought Little's actions were so amazing he deserved the Northport Fire Rescue and Northport Police Chief's Award.

"I didn't know what to do so I just kicked the door, I kicked it, I had to kick it two times and it had came open and the kids were standing in the hallway and I yelled and said come on come on," Little said of his actions when interviewed by ABC 33/40.

On Thursday, Alabama's Governor Robert Bentley will present him with yet another award during a ceremony at Northport City Hall at 6:30 pm. The public is invited to attend.

I'm sure Justen will take each award with him to decorate his dorm room when he leaves to begin his first semester at the University of West Alabama.

The Northport Police Department will be accepting donations on Justen's behalf. Justen needs dorm room supplies, men's shoes size 10.5, pants 32x34, and shirts size medium.

Any donation will be appreciated and can be dropped off at the Northport Police Department front desk.

Good luck, Justen!
