May 11-17 is National Craft Beer Week and most importantly, Saturday, May 16 is the date of the very first America On Tap Beer Festival in Tuscaloosa.

The party will take place in Government Plaza from 3:30 – 6:00 pm. Plus, there’s the VIP Hoppy Hour starting at 2:30 pm.

General Admission tickets are $35 and include 2.5 hours of sampling and a souvenir tasting glass. If you’re looking for VIP treatment, tickets are $50 and include an extra hour of sampling, a souvenir tasting glass and access to limited rare brews. Both prices will increase by $10 on the day of the event so it’s best to buy early.
