Larry Cunningham, 67, singer for the R&B group The Floaters, has died.

Just got word that " Cancer, My name is Larry has passed away last week.

The Floaters had one hit that EVERYONE knew, “Float On,” filled with astrological signs.  The group evolved from The Detroit Emeralds, formed in 1968, and “Float On” was a 1977 release.

Back in the day, groups were creative, they recorded the song in a garage recording studio.
