As you all know I have been waiting on the arrival of my second grand child seems like for years but of course,.it was just months!

You also know I started my Baby watch since Monday, July 2nd! On that day, my son and his girlfriend had a doctor's appointment. They found out that she was dilated ONE HALF Centimeter!  Honey was chilling and had no plans of going anywhere!

On Tuesday, they went back to the doctor to have a procedure done to  help her dilate.  She explained how they would insert a balloon in her! It's called a  foley bulb induction. It is a procedure where your doctor insets a catheter into your cervix. One side of the catheter is deflated. Once inside your womb, your doctor inflates the balloon with a saline solution. This puts pressure on your cervix and encourages dilation.

Tuesday evening she was contracting, went back to the hospital and they told her she was 4 to 4 1/2 cm dilated, we thought Honey was going to be here on July 3!  Well, it turned out that after 12 hours and an epidural,  she wouldn't dilate more than 6 centimeters, so they had to do a C-Section. On July 4th at 11AM Pacific time, my second grandchild was born!

May I introduce you to Miss Honey Essence Mon'et Bates!
