Hoover Man Killed by 2-Year-Old

(AP) Police say 31-year-old Divine Chambliss was shot and killed at a Hoover apartment Wednesday, and no one was inside the apartment other than Chambliss' 2-year-old son, leading police to believe the toddler accidentally killed his father.

According to ABC 3340, suicide and other possible scenarios have been all but ruled out, and an autopsy is being conducted; but there is no indication that an an intruder or any third person was involved.

This case and another in Georgia have prompted firearms instructors to reinforce gun safety.
