Last year's Bacon and Brew Fest was my first time trying chocolates covered bacon. I'd never imagined eating the two together, but the combination of sweet and salty, entrée and dessert was quite pleasing to the palate.

This was just one of the samples that made me want to visit area restaurants I wouldn't normally think of trying. It was at Bacon and Brew Fest that we were introduced to the Pimento Bacon Bombs, which have since been added to the menu at The Levee.

I'd never really imagined incorporating bacon into so many dishes, and it made me think.... People enjoy bacon in many ways. When preparing mine for breakfast, I like to put it on a cookie sheet and place it in the oven. It remains straighter than frying it. I like it firm but a little chewy. My daughter, on the other hand, likes hers crunchy.

But how do you like YOUR bacon? Guaranteed, you'll find a dish that meets your preference at the Bacon Brew and Que Festival. Get more details and purchase your tickets here.
