This year's Unity Day March in Tuscaloosa represented people from all walks of life. Some estimated it to be the largest, most diverse crowd ever. That may not be an exaggeration.

As it has each year prior, the march began at MLK Elementary.  As the marchers moved toward City Hall, bystanders joined in to walk and meet the massive crowd awaiting.

At City Hall, we were greeted by Donna Foster, who introduced both Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox and President of the Tuscaloosa Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference Tyshawn Gardner.

Unity Day festivities will culminate at 6 p.m. tonight with the Mass Rally at First African Baptist Church.
