I Want the “D”
As women, we're always told that to be ladies, we are not supposed to express our desires. Today, I'm throwing all of that aside, and I'm just going to say it: I want the "D."
(*Or "ED" where necessary.)
I like BAKED chicken, not bake chicken. Neither do I care for black eye peas, saute shrimp, or grill pork chops.*
I'm just saying.... Is it too much to ask for a "D?"
"I receive a letter in the mail today....."
"I ask him if he could wash my car....."*
"Every rule will be strictly enforce...."
NONE of us should be out of grammar school if we can't remember how to conjugate a simple verb. Now, words like "run," "bring," and "see" are a bit more complicated, but no adult with a high school diploma or GED should be around here writing, "We talk last night..."
But since some people seem to like leaving it off, I'm just going to ask: Can you give me the "D," please? Thanks!
