Is Soul Food Sunday Cooking Still A Tradition In Your House

Is there anyone up cooking Sunday dinner right now? I remember waking up on Sunday morning and Mom would be cooking dinner for the family really early. On some weekends she would start the day before. Those Sunday soul food dinners were special.

My question, with today's fast pace, quick food and microwaves along with the many many restaurants. Who really has time to cook and prepare a meal that would take a long time to cook in the kitchen? Better yet is grandmothers and Mothers taking the time to pass along those cooking skills handed down through history.

I miss moms cooking and to this day she still whips it up in the Kitchen on Sunday with my sisters, It's a tradition in the Johnson Family, just a little hard for me to drive all the way to Miami for Sunday Dinner.
