Is the romance lost, gone, or simply dead in dating today? I was having a very in-depth conversation with some single female friends on this very topic. So I thought I would bring it to my WTUG listeners.  What is your idea of a good date? According to these ladies, dating has been reduced to a few shared text messages over a couple days, culminating in an 11 pm or later “date” at his house or yours to watch a movie, with the assumption of some sort of sexual act to take place. Call me old fashioned and crazy but to me that sounds like an old fashioned booty-call. Surely fellas, this is not what we are trying to pass off as dating now days, is it? Now I don’t date too often, but according to these ladies, there is absolutely no romance going on, no flowers, candy, respectful conversations, or dates that are not centered on a couch, a bed or a backseat. These ladies are pissed; some of them are talking about giving up dating all together.

So men tell me, are we really that bad? Can we save dating for these ladies; maybe dinner and or a movie some time? How about even something she might like, a walk in the park, bowling, playing pool, just something other than a fake watch a “movie” booty call. I am not knocking my fellas, I know we are not all bad. My question to my friends was why are they going out with them if they know this, and where are they meeting these men at?

What do you all think? What is your worst dating experience? How did it turn out?
