The New city Budget for the city of Northport has some nice raises for city employees. Now that sounds like a city I wouldn't mind working for. With the cost of living continue to rise each year, I'm sure it's a welcome relief for city workers.

Not only was a little of a quarter of a million was set aside for the raise but the city is a flushed now with money for other projects as well in the event something pops up.

Plus they didn't forget the City Council as well, The budget also gives $7,500 in discretionary funds to each member of the City Council and Mayor Donna Aaron. In the past, each councilman was given $10,000.
