A possible chemical spill resulted in the closure of Jack Warner Parkway for a brief time this morning. According to the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service, the possible chemical spill was located on the Jack Warner Parkway between Helen Keller Boulevard and McFarland Boulevard. The road was been closed as a precaution, but has since been reopened.

The Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service posted the following to Facebook this morning.

Hazmat 1 truck on scene at Jack Warner Parkway for a possible chemical leak. Road is currently blocked off for the time being.
