First-year offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin will have plenty of offensive talent to utilize this fall at Alabama if the Maxwell Award watch list is any indication.

Despite never playing a down for the Crimson Tide, quarterback Jacob Coker is one of four players on the list from The University of Alabama. The Florida State transfer only arrived on campus in Tuscaloosa this summer, but a lot is riding on his ability to run the offense for Kiffin and head coach Nick Saban.

But Coker isn't the only Alabama player without starting experience to make the list. Running back Derrick Henry has become a popular breakout candidate after his Sugar Bowl performance against Oklahoma. The true freshman finished showed his incredible combination of size and speed by scoring two touchdowns on 161 all-purpose yards in a loss to the Sooners.

Two well-known veterans also made the 74-player list. Wide receiver Amari Cooper and running back T.J. Yeldon round out the group of representatives for Alabama. The two juniors have been two of the most productive offensive players in school history through their first two season.

The Maxwell Award is given annually to the top player in college football and Alabama's A.J. McCarron became the school's first winner in 2013.
