After being arrested Tuesday (Jan. 21), Jeezy is speaking out and says that cops mistreated him before taking him into custody.

The rapper claims that Alpharetta police — a city in Georgia — treated him poorly because of his occupation, according to TMZ. Apparently, cops recognized the ‘Put On’ rhymer when they arrived to break up a dispute at his girlfriend’s house — a panic alarm was pressed, which caused cops to be alerted.

Sources tell TMZ that authorities said, “Oh, you’re Jeezy the rapper,” and proceeded to treat him like a criminal, withholding his phone call and searching his house with no reason.

The police felt justified in their treatment because the rapper allegedly struggled when he was being handcuffed and made outbursts like, “F— you, I ain’t telling you,” when asked to identify himself.

He was also arrested earlier this month for reportedly assaulting his teenage son. His team released the following statement about the incident: “Jay Jenkins, better known as rapper Young Jeezy, was recently made aware of charges in Atlanta, GA. Contrary to reports, Mr. Jenkins presented himself to address these charges. We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family’s privacy.”
