The advantages of the Supreme Court's federal legalization of same-sex marriage: equality, unity and the potential that Jennifer Hudson will crash your wedding and belt out her new album's latest. A little off the registry, but sure, okay!

On Wednesday, the JHUD singer surprised newlyweds Chris and Scott Lindsey, who have been together for 14 years and have four children, with a rendition of her single "I Still Love You," her own ode to marriage equality. According to Page Six, Hudson tricked the couple, who tied the knot at the W Hotel in Dallas, into thinking she'd provided a video message, only for the curtain to drop behind the ceremony and reveal a full-fledged live performance. YOUR LOCAL DJ COULD NEVER!

According to People, Hudson is partnered with W and the Human Rights Campaign for its Turn Up The Change effort, which aims to offer support to marriage equality causes.

"I'm very connected to the gay community, and it's something I'm passionate about," she's previously told the magazine, and made the point abundantly clear with an Instagram shot she posted after the shock subsided.

"Congrats to Chris and Scott ! They said girl where the hell u come from," she captioned the shot above, in which the pair of dapper husbands chat with their honorary guest.
