Justin Bieber single-handedly ruined Christmas for his fans with just 44 characters:

That’s right. On Christmas Eve and on the eve of the release of his documentary film, ‘Believe,’ Bieber “officially” retired from music after three albums and over 15 million copies sold. ‘Journals,’ an album composed of his 10 ‘#MusicMondays’ songs and five more original tracks, also just dropped on Sunday (Dec. 22).

Bieber further alleviated some fans’ darker fears with two follow-up tweets:

So there’s more than likely no worries. The Bieber-pocalypse hasn’t come just yet.
