On June 18, 2014, Justin Ross Harris strapped his 22-month-old son Cooper into his car seat, went for breakfast and then work, forgetting his son was in the car.

It wasn't until later that afternoon when Harris left work and headed to a local movie theater that he found his son's lifeless body still in the car seat.

A former student at the University of Alabama, Harris was accused of intentionally locking his young son inside the hot car for seven hours.

In addition to three counts of murder, Harris was found guilty today of two counts of cruelty to children related to Cooper's death, and guilty of one count of exchanging lewd material electronically with two underage girls. Sentencing is expected to happen the first week of December.
