You know, I wish ill will on no one, but sometimes karma will do you a favor  for which you didn't ask.

Ever since I was 15, I've always had a job. I think I may have gone 3 months without one since that time. Even when I was a college student, I still worked. Sometimes, I had two jobs. I always had a full course load, but I still always wanted to work.

Well, I had one particular job where I'd stated my hours of availability, but my supervisor always scheduled me to work outside those hours. In addition, I was a part-time employee, but she consistently had me working 34-36 hours. Why not add a few and make me full-time then? I've always been a good worker and interacted well with customers as well as coworkers, but this one just seemed to have it in for me.

Well, yesterday, I had to pick up a few items from the store. I went to the same store where I used to work back in 1999. (I feel like shouting.) Can I tell you that my former supervisor is STILL THERE? Baaaaby, when I saw her, I almost thought I saw a ghost because she wasn't in the department where we used to work. She wasn't over a  department at all. Y'all, she had been demoted. I didn't laugh (well, I didn't laugh RIGHT THEN), because I didn't want to sow that seed upon myself. Then, a scripture came to mind. You know how you can distort the Bible to justify your wrongdoing? Well, I said to myself, "Wait a minute! She wasn't demoted because of ME. I always did what I was supposed to and never complained to her boss. Oh well, I guess The Lord just repaid her. He said vengeance is His."

I still didn't laugh.... on the outside, but I can't lie like I'm not tickled on the inside. However, I pray that I never find myself in such a situation although I thank Him that He gave me the opportunity to see it and to remember her 16 years later.
