Kelis Reveals New Look in ‘Food’ Promotional Photo

R&B singer Kelis has rocked some interesting looks throughout her career. But her latest style might just bring all the boys (and girls) to the yard.

The 34-year-old mom, and ex-wife to Nas, recently revealed a new look to her fans through her Facebook page. Kelis is featured in a promotional photo donning a big, puffy hairstyle and wearing an artsy short dress with bold prints.

"I know I have been a little silent on here lately, but I am back and excited to share one of my favorite photos from my album photo shoot," she wrote to her followers.

Responses to Kelis’ new look have been overwhelmingly positive with over 5,000 likes and 170 shares.

"Love the Dress, hair, and Makeup, #Bossy," wrote one fan, while another commented, "Go Girl! You are fabulous!"

The 'Caught Out There' artist is currently working on her sixth LP, 'Food,' her follow-up to her 2010 album 'Flesh Tone.' The collection, produced entirely by TV On the Radio’s Dave Sitek, is reportedly due to hit stores on April 29. 'Food' is being described as a "soul record that’s as raw and alternative as it is classic."

Kelis is expected to perform songs from the new album when she hits the stage at two big music festivals this year. The singer will appear first at the BBC Radio 6 Music festival in February and at Europe’s The Great Escape festival in May.
