In 2013, Kelis has given fans a nibble of new music, but now she’s ready to give them the full-course meal. The R&B singer and certified chef is set to release her new album, 'Food.'

This will be Kelis’ first album since 2010’s 'Flesh Tone.' The collection, which will be released through U.K. indie label Ninja Tune, is being produced by TV On the Radio’s Dave Sitek. The project is being described as a "soul record that's as raw and alternative as it is classic."

"I’m really happy to be partnering with Ninja Tune on my new record," Kelis said in a statement. "This is the album I’ve wanted to make for a long time and I want the team around me to be as excited and energetic about it as I am. I’m also very happy to be working with some of the most creative people in the industry."

Kelis’ 'Food' is set to arrive in stores April 28.
