The request that Mary J. Blige's ex, Kendu Isaacs, put in for extra spousal support as been denied, according to The Blast.

Brows were raised when it was reported last week that Isaacs wanted a judge to grant him more spousal support from Blige. Isaacs is already receiving $30,000 a month from Blige, even though their marriage dissolved after he allegedly cheated on her with a longtime family friend. However, Isaac's request for an increase to $65,000 monthly was denied.

He'd argued that he should get an increase in support because Blige is making money from "divorce songs" that are featured on her newest release, including the tracks “Love Yourself” and “Set Me Free."   Isaacs also stated in his documents that since leaving the $8 million mansion he once shared with Blige, he’s been living in a 1,400 sq. ft. apartment in Los Angeles. So he needs more money from the R&B singer just to survive.

At any rate, his request has been denied for now. The judge in their split has reportedly opted not to make a ruling on financial matters right now, and believes such matters should be discussed during their divorce trial.
