Lalah Hathaway nabbed her very first golden gramophone before the big Grammy Awards telecast on Sunday (Jan. 26). The veteran songstress won the Best R&B performance trophy for her contribution on the Snark Puppy’s live tune 'Something.'

The song appears on the jazz band’s live CD/DVD set, 'Family Dinner, Vol. 1.' The 45-year-old singer’s work on the song is quite impressive as she sings three different harmonizing notes simultaneously.

Snarky Puppy and Hathaway beat out some heavy contenders in the category including Miguel featuring Kendrick Lamar ('How Many Drinks'), Anthony Hamilton ('Best of Me'), Tamar Braxton ('Love and War') and Hiatus Kaiyote featuring Q-Tip ('Nakamarra').
