Would you rather fly to some destinations than drive? Sounds good, as long as you keep your cash on your person! Turns out TSA agents may be responsible for money missing from your luggage.

Rare.com reports that the Drug Enforcement Administration hired a TSA agent to go through airline passengers' luggage, looking for cash to be confiscated. Now, it's understandable for them to be looking for drugs, or even large amounts of cash checked by a person under investigation for drug activity; but to have a person going through the luggage of regular travelers is utterly ridiculous.

Civil asset forfeiture is said to be pretty big business with law enforcement across the country confiscating property and using it to fund their budgets. Heritage.org defines civil asset as "forfeiture is a legal tool that allows law enforcement officials to seize property that they assert has been involved in certain criminal activity" and says that the owner doesn't even have to be charged with a crime. Does this mean that if my vehicle is impounded for whatever reason, my personal belongings may be taken from my vehicle and used to fund government operations?
