Ledisi Is Feeling Good and Happy on Her Uplifting Single ‘High’ [LISTEN]

Ledisi is in a happy place right now and she’s expressing her joy on her latest single, “High.” The melodic ballad, produced by DJ Camper, features the R&B singer on a natural high due to her self-love and empowerment.

“It feels so good to be back again,” she sings, adding, “I just want to be safe / I just want to feel good every morning, every single damn morning that I wake / I’ve been looking for a place / Where the sun shines all the time.”

Elsewhere in the uplifting song, Ledisi sings of being high on love and not letting anything stop her happiness. “I just want to be high / High as the blue skies,” she sings.

“High” is set to appear on her upcoming album, which is due in the fall. The LP will be the follow-up to her 2014 effort, The Truth. The Grammy-winning singer will mostly perform songs off her new project on her joint tour with R&B crooner Maxwell.

Ledisi will join him on a 18-city trek that begins on May 23 in Nashville and wraps up June 23 in San Diego, Calif. You can peep her tour itinerary below.
