This could be one of the most expensive homes for sale in the state of Alabama. It also may be one of the most historically significant homes in Tuscaloosa in recent times.

The home sits on 3.4 Acres on the Cliffs of Lake Tuscaloosa at NE 2731 Battlement Dr, with 448ft of water front. There are stunning Living rooms, library, sitting areas, a full bar, a bar/kitchenette on the lower level and door access to the decks, pool and wraparound patio. Almost all rooms have views of Lake Tuscaloosa.

It was built by legendary Tuscaloosa Art Collector and Businessman, Jack Warner in 1979. It was the first house on Mr. Warner's property. He hand picked the spot to build the home because of the views of the lake! I had the pleasure of touring the estate with Jack and Susan Warner a few years ago. There are walls in the home that were shipped from a castle overseas! The gardens surrounding the home are breathtaking to say the least.

I spoke to Realtor Joan Alipour this morning and hope to have her on air Monday to talk more about the history of this magnificent Tuscaloosa Estate.

The estate lists on RealtySouth's site for $5.2 million dollars.
