‘Legends of Chamberlain Heights’ Premieres Tonight on Comedy Central

Comedy Central's newest animated series Legends of Chamberlain Heights is here! It features three hapless wannabe basketball stars, Jamal, Grover and Milk; who are struggling to fully realize their hoop dreams. The reality is that these guys just aren't very good--but they don't let a little thing like reality get in the way of their goals. (Bad pun intended.)

The show is a hilarious look at some colorful characters and their delusions of grandeur. Sometimes you just have to have an unshakeable belief in you, and our three heroes have no shortage of self-confidence. With Milk declaring "Turn up, legend! Turn all the way up!" and Jamal recognizing that they are "the future--but you wouldn't know nothin' about that,” it’s clear these guys think they can achieve great things through sheer will.

And Grover? He just wants "to be President--and throw a legendary party." Noble ambitions, indeed.

Legends of Chamberlain Heights has a uniquely funny voice that reflects hip-hop culture and perspective. We can all relate to wanting to be more than whatever you happen to be at the moment. Milk sums it up in one quote:

"We ain't always gonna be benchwarmers--I got real potential."

You sure do, Milk. You sure do.
