Lil Wayne Owes $86,000 to American Express And They Want Their Money

Outside of his health scares and ongoing lawsuit with Birdman, it looks as if Lil Wayne is having problems paying his credit card bills. Apparently, Weezy owes American Express $86,000 and he’s six months behind in paying them.

TMZ reports that Amex filed a lawsuit on Thursday (July 14) for an overdue credit bill totaling $86,396.75. The company claims they have been waiting since December 2015 for their money.

Hopefully, Tunechi can take care of this outstanding bill, especially since he’s been performing shows during the summer. In fact, the 33-year-old rap vet is hosting another Lil Weezyana music festival in his hometown of New Orleans on Aug. 27 at the Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square. Joining Wayne is his Collegrove partner-in-rhyme 2 Chainz. Tickets are available now.

In the meantime, Lil Wayne’s attorney had no comment on Amex's lawsuit.
