The Tuscaloosa County Chapter National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and the Tuscaloosa Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) has scheduled a candidate forum for all prospective candidates in the 2017 Tuscaloosa City Municipal and School Board races.

This non-partisan forum is on Monday, February 20, 2017, 6:00 p.m. at Central High School auditorium. The forum will consists of two sessions.  Session 1 will feature City Board of Education candidates and session 2 will feature Mayoral and City Council candidates.

NPHC is a collaborative organization of nine historically African American, international Greek lettered fraternities and sororities. The council promotes interaction through forums, meetings and other mediums for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.

SCLC is an African-American civil rights organization.  The organization focus is to educate youth and adults in the areas of personal responsibility, leadership potential, and community service; to ensure economic justice and civil rights and to eradicate environmental classism and racism wherever it exists.
