Check out the spectacular sight in the night sky Tuesday night. Have you noticed the two bright lights that look like stars in the sky?
They are actually planets, Jupiter and Venus to be exact and they are the 3rd and 4th brightest lights in the sky behind the Sun and the Moon.
They will be visible in the western sky tonight. The two planets are both moving across the sky in their orbits around the sun.
Because Venus is much closer to the sun, it is moving faster and seems to be chasing Jupiter.
You can view this phenomenon through the University of Alabama's telescope atop Gallalee Hall at the intersection of University Boulevard and Hackberry Drive tonight starting at 8 pm. Full Story
