Makeup Artistry or Blackface?

We've all seen images where makeup artists completely transform people's faces to the degree that sometimes they don't even look like the same person. One makeup artist has changed a white woman to look black, and it's certainly not without controversy.

Apparently, the artist says the transformation was done to celebrate other cultures. However, the outcry from black women makes it evident that they see nothing celebratory about it.
