Man Accused Of Taking Money From The Elderly Arrested

When you take advantage of an elderly person you deserve to go jail! And that’s what happened to 49 year old Ferrell Wayne Spradlin. For months he took money from an elderly woman in Alabaster for home repairs that he never finished the job.

He was arrested and charged with financial exploitation of the elderly and home repair fraud. She contacted him back in February because her husband suffers from Alzheimer’s and can’t do the repairs himself.

According Alabaster police Chief Curtis Rigney she paid Spradlin to repair things around the house and he would start but never finish.

According to court records he was convicted of theft by deception in 2007 and sentenced to 10 years in prison he was released January 26 2011
