It looks like Mary J. Blige is finding some musical inspiration with her impending divorce from soon-to-be ex-husband Kendu Isaacs.

During the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul’s concert at The Grand Theater at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn., she debuted a new song called “Thick of It.” The song, which features the veteran singer’s passionate vocals, appears to be addressing her current separation from Isaacs.

“Love ain’t just black and white, it’s not that simple / It’s hard to tell who’s wrong or right," she sings. "When it’s dark, I swear I can see the light / Should I stick it out? / Are you worth this fight, are we worth this fight?”

She then adds, "You know I deserve more than this / So tell me who’s gonna love you like I do?”

Blige filed for divorce from Isaacs back in July after 12 years of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences in the decree.

“Ms. Blige is saddened to say [that] it is true that she has filed for divorce, saying sometimes things don’t work how we hoped they would...but, there is a divine plan and a reason for everything,” reads a statement released from the singer. “Mary will continue writing and working on her album, which is due out later this year along with her world tour. She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time.”

In response to MJB's divorce petition, Isaacs is seeking spousal support despite the singer's position that he shouldn't receive any alimony.

We don't know if the song "Thick of It" will appear on Blige's next project, but it looks like she's ready to bring the drama. You can catch Mary J. Blige with Maxwell on the King and Queen of Hearts Tour, which kicks off Oct. 13 in Switzerland.
