The Obama administration has issued a stern warning: If Congress cannot strike a budget deal, AMERICA MAY GO WITHOUT MEAT FOR TWO WHOLE WEEKS.

Across-the-board spending cuts will hit in March if lawmakers cannot agree, which may require a two-week lay-off of every U.S. meat and poultry inspector. By law, meatpackers cannot ship beef, pork, lamb or poultry without the Agriculture Department’s inspection seal, which will bring the country's meat industry to a grinding halt. Can you imagine two whole weeks of just vegetables, fresh fish, shrimp and lobster?
