It appears that Michael B. Jordan is dating a non-black woman, and some people feel a way about it.

JasmineBrand reports that the 30-year-old Creed actor's girlfriend is Ashlyn Castro, and that he spent New Year's Eve with her, and also took her to a Kwanzaa celebration with his friends— cast members from his upcoming film, Black Panther.

The news (and pictures) caused a wave of backlash, and some folks took it to the entire next level, threatening to boycott the much-anticipated Black Panther movie when it drops in February.

Suffice to say, some people were apparently somehow super surprised (and irate) that he'd date a non-black woman.

But this isn't Jordan's first time around this proverbial block. Back in November, he had to defend himself again, after a 2015 interview with GQ was taken out of context.

"People can like one another, not necessarily from the same history or culture or whatever the f--k it is. It’s just the new world, you know what I mean?" he said in the interview.

Some black women surmised he didn't date black women, like, at all, a rumor which has dogged him ever since.

"That I don’t date Black Women," he clarified on what the biggest rumor he's ever heard about himself in his November 2017 interview with Vogue

At any rate, the reaction to Jordan's love life was swift and borderline creepy. Of course, he's not the first black male celebrity to land on a few upset people's "temporarily canceled" list for dating a non-black woman (see: Jesse Williams)—fair and rational, or not.

Twitter has naturally been particularly active with the news. Check out some of the best responses below.
