Friday night, WTUG ran a live broadcast from the Crimson Bar. Those listening to the radio could hear what was going on, but this is what you didn't see.

We went live at 10:00 p.m., but there were already patrons in the building before that time. They swayed as DJ Rockin Robert Wells played some of their old school favorites, prepared to have a good time. At 10:00 p.m., a steady flow entered the door. And they came in READY!

As you can see, there was a mixed crowd; and everyone had a good time TOGETHER! We stuck with our regular Friday night old school for the most part, much to the pleasure of our supporters.  Many expressed how much they appreciated not being surrounded by "children," and a lot of those who were already regulars of the establishment said they'd definitely be back.

One of the funniest moments of the night came when a group of sophisticated ladies surrounded one table. Song after song played, and although they rocked in their seats, it seemed like they just weren't going to make it to the dancefloor..... Until Rockin Robert Wells played "Back That Thang Up!"

EVERYBODY knows the first note of that song, and when it hit, they all looked at each other, slid their chairs from the table, and began to strut! TOTALLY unexpected but pleasantly surprising.

If you missed our first night at the Crimson Bar, we'll give you a pass.  But you can rest assured that you do NOT want to miss another. Join us at the Crimson Bar every Friday night!
