On Monday, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr's birthday, the Tuscaloosa chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), has a day of actives planned.

The morning will start off at 7AM with a Unity Breakfast located at Beluah Baptist Church.

At noon, the group and others will meet to begin a march starting at MLK Jr. Elementary School and will end at Tuscaloosa City Hall.

Later that evening, a rally will be held at First African Baptist Church at 6PM.

Martin Luther King Jr., was the first president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in Atlanta from 1957 until his untimely death in 1968. The purpose of the SCLC is to promote spiritual principles in communities.
