The last time we heard from Musiq Soulchild, he wanted to pursue a rap career as The Husel. Thank god he came to his senses. On Wednesday (Jan. 27), the Philadelphia-born crooner released his soothing ballad, “I Do.”

Over melodic keyboards and guitar riffs, the 38-year-old singer declares his love for his woman despite sometimes thinking she is crazy.

“Sometimes I don’t like you, always got a problem with anything that I do / I don’t always understand everything about you / But I know I just can’t live without you,” he sings.

"I Do" will certainly remind fans of his previous soulful ballads like "Dontchange" and "Whoknkows."

Musiq is currently working on his eighth album, Life on Earth, which is being executive produced by Warryn Campbell. The collection is due to arrive in stores on April 8.
