After meeting the principal of Central Elementary School, Dr.Linebarger, a couple of weeks ago, and telling him that I would love to speak with his kids, he invited me to their weekly Champion Summit. So, I started my Monday morning with champions.

The Champion Summit is for students who made good decisions the prior week in terms of good grades, behavior, dress code, and attendance. They start the morning with a dance battle between each grade level. Those kids can dance. I need some dance lessons ASAP.  Little did I know, I would be the deciding factor on who won. I chose the first grade students, they had so much energy and danced their hearts out.

It was finally my turn to go in front of the student body and talk about how I'm a champion. I was super nervous, but the children's beautiful faces put me at ease.

I told them how I had to fail a couple of times to be the champion I am today.

After my speech, one student from each grade level was recognized as being a champion for good behavior in class.

All in all, it was a great time at Central Elementary School, but I think they should change their name to Champion Elementary School, because that's all I saw - champions!
