Nelly Talks Floyd Mayweather Beef, ‘Tip Drill’ Video on ESPN’s ‘Highly Questionable’ [VIDEO]
Floyd Mayweather went a couple of rounds with T.I. earlier this year, and he'll probably go toe-to-toe with Nelly after this one. The St. Louis rapper threw the boxer a not so subtle diss on ESPN's 'Highly Questionable' this week, after the host asked him about his beef with the boxer.
"I don't have a beef with Floyd Mayweather," Nelly said. "I think the whole thing is misunderstood. I try to understand where's he's coming from, which is a little hard to do. But it's just one of those things. He is who he is. He's one of those people that I don't think likes the word no said to him. I think if anybody does that, that's what gets underneath his skin a little bit. But I don't know. It's kind of hard talking to a guy who hasn't graduated from high school."
In addition, the 'Hot In Herre' artist spoke a little bit about the 2003 visuals for 'Tip Drill,' a video showing him sliding a credit card down a woman's backside. When the visual was released, it sparked tons of controversy and backlash for Nelly.
"I never regret as far as being an artist," he explained. "Being an artist your responsibility is to create, to be artistic. I didn't do anything illegal. I put it on a show that was for adults at an adult time, and maybe some people took it the wrong way."
