New Bowtie Beer Cans

Why drink beer out of a regular can when you can drink it out of one shaped like a bowtie?

That's what Budweiser is wondering as they release a new can shaped like a bowtie."This can is incomparable, like nothing you've ever seen before the world's most iconic beer brand deserves the world's most unique and innovative can. I think we have it here." said Pat McGauley, vice president of innovation for Anheuser-Busch, in a press release.

The bow tie can -- which is not replacing the traditional Budweiser can -- in development since 2010. The bow tie has been associated with the Budweiser brand since a national advertising campaign in 1956. You can get the bow tie in an eight-pack rather than a six-pack, a strategic move to get the new shape noticed on shelves.
