Is this a case of free markets for mega-corporations and lockouts for the little guy? CBS television banned a Super Bowl ad for the SodaStream home soda system. Why? Reportedly, it's because the ad takes a shot at two of the biggest advertisers on CBS (or any channel for that matter): Coca-Cola and Pepsi. The spot takes an environmentalist swipe at the two beverage juggernauts, implying that if we all owned a SodaStream, the planet could be spared the impact of 500 million plastic bottles just on Super Bowl Sunday alone. So is the ban just good business sense from CBS or censorship?
